3 Hats – License Term Definitions

The following license types apply to all product types on the 3 Hats platform, including digital artwork, video content, and physical creations. Artists must select a license type when uploading content. Buyers must agree to the license terms at the time of purchase.

• 1. Standard Personal Learning License

  Intended for: Tutorials and video content

  • Permits personal viewing for educational or self-improvement purposes only

  • Does not permit sharing, redistribution, editing, or any form of commercial use

  2. Standard Personal Use License

  Intended for: Personal enjoyment of digital or physical artwork

  • Permits private display (e.g., on a personal device or in a home setting)

  • Does not permit resale, reproduction, public sharing, or commercial use

  3. Standard Commercial License

  Intended for: Limited commercial use of digital or physical content

  • Permits use in one commercial project (such as a product, advertisement, or brand asset)

  • Permits up to 1,000 uses, sales, or public distributions, unless otherwise specified by the artist

  • Does not permit resale, sublicensing, or use across multiple projects

  4. Custom License

  Intended for: Any use case not covered by the standard licenses

  • The artist may define specific terms, such as display-only rights, full commercial rights, restricted printing, or single-use conditions

  • Used when the content requires unique licensing terms

  • All custom license terms are subject to review and approval by 3 Hats prior to listing

  General Conditions

  • All licenses are non-transferable

  • License terms must be explicitly accepted by the buyer during the checkout process

  • Misuse of licensed content may result in account suspension, content removal, or legal action
